Washington, D.C. – NextGen America unveiled groundbreaking new polling data following President Biden’s withdrawal and Kamala Harris’s emergence as the presumptive Democratic nominee. This survey focused specifically on young voters ages 18-35 across swing states —including Arizona, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Virginia— and provides a unique look at how young voters are responding to these historic political shifts.
Conducted in partnership with Impact Research from July 23-30, 2024, the survey sampled 1,500 likely voters aged 18-35 across six battleground states. The full report is available on our website. We invite you to explore our exclusive coverage in The Daily Beast which highlights the significant surge in youth voter momentum in key battleground states as revealed by our polling.
“This polling data marks a major shift reflecting the genuine excitement among young voters,” said Cristina Tzintzún Ramirez, President of NextGen America. “The significant boost in voter motivation, particularly the 10-point surge in those identifying as ‘extremely motivated,’ is concrete evidence that young voters are paying close attention and energized to vote this November. Additionally, our polling reveals that MAGA extremist policies are extremely unpopular among young voters; with 75% of young voters aware of the regressive MAGA policies, and 63% viewing them unfavorably. NextGen America is committed to harnessing and sustaining this momentum, ensuring that the largest and most diverse generation in American history is heard and valued.”
