NextGen PAC Endorses Slate of Progressive Candidates in TX
The nation’s largest youth vote organization endorses progressive candidates at all levels in Texas
Austin, TX – Today, NextGen PAC announced the endorsements of the following Texas candidates. These endorsements are a critical part of NextGen PAC’s efforts to mobilize thousands of young voters across the country in support of progressive candidates in this election cycle and beyond.
NextGen PAC has endorsed the following candidates:

- Molly Cook, Texas State Senate District 15
- Jose Garza, Travis County District Attorney
- Cassandra Hernandez, Texas State House District 115
- Morgan LaMantia, Texas State Senate District 27
- Christian Menefee, Harris County Attorney
- Solomon Ortiz Jr., Texas State House District 34
- Mihaela Plesa, Texas State House District 70
- Lauren Ashley Simmons, Texas State House District 146
- Laurel Jordan Swift, Texas State House District 121
- Sean Teare, Harris County District Attorney
- Erin Zwiener, Texas State House District 45
NextGen PAC endorses these candidates because they reflect the values of the most progressive and diverse generation in American history. These candidates have proven that they will be the leaders that young Texas voters need to address their key issues and who are committed to building a more just and equitable Texas.

In 2020, NextGen PAC helped mobilize 1 in every 9 young voters who cast a ballot, leading to the largest youth voter turnout in history. In 2024, NextGen PAC is focused on empowering young voters to fight for a better future, this includes endorsing progressive candidates and ballot measures, among other activities.
