The nation’s largest youth vote organization endorses progressive candidates in Pennsylvania
Philadelphia, PA – Today, NextGen PAC announced the endorsement of Rep. Brendan Boyle, Rep. Dwight Evans, Rep. Madeleine Dean, Rep. Mary Gay Scanlon, Rep. Chrissy Houlahan, Rep. Susan Wild, Rep. Matt Cartwright, Rep. Summer Lee, and Rep. Chris Deluzio. These endorsements are a critical part of NextGen PAC’s efforts to mobilize thousands of young voters across the country in support of progressive candidates in this election cycle and beyond.
NextGen PAC endorses these candidates because they reflect the values of the most progressive and diverse generation in American history. These representatives have proven themselves to be civil servants who are committed to building a more just and equitable Pennsylvania.
“Young people have organized and turned out in record numbers in recent elections, helping our movement achieve huge progressive wins,” NextGen PAC President and Executive Director Cristina Tzintzún Ramirez said. “This year, our fight is no different, and we are determined to show up and use our voices at the ballot box to protect our country from MAGA Republicans who only want to take us back in time. As NextGen works to mobilize Pennsylvania’s young voters to elect progressive candidates, we are proud to support representatives who stand up for young voters’ values.”
“NextGen PAC is proud to endorse these candidates for Congress,” NextGen PAC State Director Cortney Bouse said. “In our fight to build a better, more representative future, these races are critical. From abortion rights to climate justice, these Congressmembers have worked on behalf of young people to build better communities here in Pennsylvania. NextGen PAC is thrilled to endorse these candidates for reelection so they may continue to prioritize the values of Pennsylvania’s young voters.”
In 2020, NextGen PAC helped mobilize 1 in every 9 young voters who cast a ballot, leading to the largest youth voter turnout in history. In 2024, NextGen PAC is focused on empowering young voters to fight for a better future, this includes endorsing progressive candidates and ballot measures, among other activities.
